The financial plan should consider both the total amount of funding needed as well as the sources of revenue to support the expenditure. Both have implications for the scale and operating model of an intermediary.

Key Questions to Ask:

What are your budget needs? Operational vs. training funding?

What is your ideal mix of WIA/non-WIA funding?

What is the capacity in the private and corporate foundation community to give?

Who will be your leader to fundraise for private dollars?
